Animalis — Request Data Deletion
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your data from Animalis. The quickest way is inside the app; you can also email us.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Animalis and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and everything listed below are removed straight away, and the app resets to a fresh install. This cannot be undone.
Or ask us by email
- Send an email to support@playanimalis.com from any email address.
- Use the subject line "Animalis data deletion request".
- In the body of the email, include the username you chose inside the Animalis app. This is the only way we can identify your data, since Animalis does not collect your real name or email address.
- We will confirm receipt of your request and delete your data within 30 days.
What data will be deleted
Whichever route you use, we permanently remove the following from our servers:
- Your username and chosen character gender
- The account identifiers we hold for you — your account number, your device identifier, and the anonymous Apple or Google sign-in identifier if you linked one (linking is also revoked with Apple)
- All animals you have captured, including any photos still held, their nicknames, and the recognition service's descriptions of those photos
- Your team composition, level progression, in-game currency, and inventory
- Battle history and gameplay statistics
- Location data associated with your captures (latitude/longitude)
- Any sightings or map activity tied to your username
- Your friend connections and friend requests
- Your push-notification token and notification settings
- Diagnostic records held against your account — battery and performance measurements, tutorial progress, and fair-play (movement) check records
- Your purchase record on our side. The store's own record of the transaction belongs to Apple or Google and is governed by their policies; a subscription must also be cancelled in the store, or it keeps billing.
What data is retained
After deletion, the following may still exist for a limited time:
- Anonymous aggregate statistics — totals such as "number of captures across all players" with no link back to any individual user. Retained indefinitely.
- Crash and error diagnostics — held by our error-tracking provider Sentry, and automatically purged according to their standard retention policy (typically 90 days). These records carry the account number the app used at the time, but no name or email address.
- Server access logs — held by our hosting provider Render and rotated automatically (typically 30 days). These logs record the request, the IP address it came from, and the account number in the web address where one appears; they hold no name or email address.
